4 hour - Birding/Wildlife Tour Join us for a 4 hour boat tour within Resurrection Bay looking for all the avian migrants passing through the area. Species you could see include Surf scoters, Barrow's goldeneyes, Long-tailed ducks, Harlequin ducks, Common Mergansers, Brant geese and many other waterfowl plus Horned puffins, Tufted puffins, Common murres, Marbled murrelets as well as other seabirds such as Black-legged kittiwakes, Arctic terns and loons. Our smaller boats ensure a personalized tour with ample time for photography and identification and allows for flexibility to go where the birds are!
$ 80.00 per person (4 person minimum)
3 day/2 night - Cape Resurrection Seabird Safari If you have a little more time available, you can do the 3 day/2 night package including lodging and meals in Kayakers Cove - a remote communal hostel 12 miles south of Seward, with full kitchen, private beach and sauna, only accessible by water. This gets us way out there on the water so we're closer to the birds. On the first day we depart Seward Boat Harbor and arrive at Kayakers Cove for lunch, stow our gear and then depart on a safari along Eldorado Narrows, returning to the lodge for dinner. On the second day, after an early breakfast, we depart for Day Harbor, west of Cape Resurrection, skirting the shores to the head of the bay by the drainage of Ellsworth Glacier. We'll have lunch on shore and then work our way along the east side of Day Harbor through Bowen Anchorage and Anchor Cove. We return to Kayakers Cove for dinner and a relaxing evening at the lodge. On the last day after breakfast, we can explore Resurrection Bay including Humpy Cove, Thumb Cove and Caines Head to return to Seward by noon.
Total trip cost : $ 3600.00 for up to 6 people
